After 30 years as a partner at School Lane, Dr Hadley-Brown will be retiring from GP practice at the end of February 2019. He is, of course, too young to want to retire and will be continuing medical work with the University of Cambridge and NHS England plus occasional GP surgeries. After 30 years it will be a big ‘goodbye’ but we are fortunate to have Dr Laura Smart returning from maternity leave in March, as well as continuing efforts to recruit additional GPs.
In addition to GP consultations the practice offers a range of clinics and healthcare services including:
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to attend the surgery and fill out the required form, or click here to print. The practice nurse will then contact you to attend the clinic for any required vaccinations. The form will ask you to confirm the countries and areas you are travelling to and any activities you will partake in.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
It is important to complete the Travel vaccine form as early as possible - at least 3 - 4 months before you travel - as an appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS, if you require any private vaccinations you may need to attend a private clinic, the practice nurse will advise you on this.
Travelling in Europe
If you are travelling to Europe a very useful booklet has been published with advice and guidance to help you get the most out of your holiday. To visit please click:- http://ec.europa.eu/publications/booklets/eu_glance/86/en.pdf (this is a large document and may take a minute or two to view)
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Currently we provide:
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception/admin staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
