Administration

Our administration team is made up of:

  • One part-time secretary
  • One full-time secretary/summariser
  • One part-time scanner
  • One full-time scanner/summariser
  • Three administrators
  • One medicines management lead.

The scanners’ job is to scan all incoming correspondence to the appropriate patient record. Our summarisers are responsible for maintaining up to date records of patients’ medical history. The secretaries send all referrals and deal with any queries relating to these. Together our administrators cover IT and finance, private work including medicals, recalls and referral cover.

Reception

Our reception team is made up of eight full-time, and two part-time receptionists, and are under the supervision of the reception and care navigation lead.

Overall, they provide an important link for patients with the practice and are the initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results, and they are also able to direct you to the right healthcare professional depending on your health issue or query.

Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses, as well as performing other important tasks. These include issuing repeat prescription, and making sure your requests are sent to the appropriate member of the team.
