We want to make it as easy as possible for you to access the right care when you need it. We know that demand has been high recently, which has meant our forms have had to close sooner than we would have liked.
To better meet your needs, we’re introducing a simpler system that aligns with how we offer appointments.
From Friday 20th December:
- Pre-Bookable GP Appointments = Use the online forms on our website.*
- Same-Day GP Appointments = Call us!
(*If you don’t have access to the website, you can always call or visit reception to book a pre-bookable appointment.)
Same-Day Appointments
- If you need an urgent appointment today, please call us.
- Our team will gather your details and pass them to the GP-Led On-Call Hub, who will decide the most clinically appropriate option for you.
- To ensure fair access for all patients, we only book same-day appointments via phone—not through online forms or at reception.
Pre-Bookable Appointments
- For appointments that can be planned in advance, we encourage you to use the online forms on our website.
- Forms will be available daily between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Opening forms at 11:00 AM allows us to focus on answering phone calls during the busiest morning period.
- Using the website helps keep our phone lines clear for urgent requests and reduces waiting times for everyone.
What If There’s an Alternative?
Sometimes the quickest and best care may come from other NHS-approved services, such as Pharmacy First, physiotherapy, or specialist clinics. If this is the case, we’ll recommend these options to ensure you receive the right care as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We hope this clear approach makes it easier to understand how we work and how we prioritise patient care and that we are working as hard as possible to provide the most appropriate care and access for all patients.
