Be Christmas Ready

Now is the perfect time to review the contents of your medicine cabinet and to get your repeat prescriptions ordered. A properly stocked medicine cabinet can help you treat many common illnesses and ailments over the cold winter months and not just Christmas.

As a suggestion it may be worth considering that you have these items in your medicine cabinet or are in date and can be purchased over the counter.

  • A first-aid kit, including bandages, plasters, a thermometer, antiseptic, eyewash solution, sterile dressings, medical tape for dressings and tweezers.
  • Pain relief such as aspirin, paracetamol and ibuprofen for aches, pains and high temperatures.
  • Cold remedies to help with the symptoms of colds and flu like illnesses.
  • Anti-diarrhoea tablets to relieve symptoms of diarrhoea, although these will not help with the underlying cause.
  • Constipation relief.
  • Throat sweets for sore throats.
  • Antihistamines which can help with allergies.
  • Indigestion relief remedies.

On behalf of all the Staff and Partners, we wish all our Patients a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
