Christmas Message to Our Patients

As we approach the end of another year, we’d like to take this opportunity to wish all our patients a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

A Year of Challenges and Progress

This year has presented significant challenges for the NHS, including School Lane. We’ve faced increasing demand for our services alongside rising costs and funding pressures. While we understand that this can be frustrating for patients, we want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to provide the best care within the resources available.

Looking Back and Ahead

Despite these challenges, we’re proud of the progress we’ve made this year:

  • Strengthening Our Team: We’ve welcomed five new GPs to our practice and are actively recruiting more to ensure we can continue to meet your needs.
  • Improving Access: We’ve reintroduced pre-bookable appointments to provide you with more flexibility and choice.
  • Enhanced Patient Experience: We’ve increased the availability of face-to-face appointments while maintaining telephone options to suit your preference.
  • Continuity: We are focusing on continuity, so asking you when you call, who you would like to see.
  • Improving Communication: We’ve made a conscious effort to improve communication with our patients, including hosting patient engagement events and sharing regular updates.

Supporting Our Community

We’re also proud of our work with Chapter 15, our Charity of the Year, supporting homeless individuals in our community. Thank you to our staff and the wider community for their generous support.

A Big Thank You

We want to express our sincere gratitude to both our patients and our incredible staff.

  • To our patients: Thank you for your understanding and support throughout the year.
  • To our staff: Thank you for your unwavering dedication and hard work in providing high-quality care under challenging circumstances.

Looking Forward

We know that challenges will continue in the year ahead, but we remain committed to providing the best possible care for our patients. We plan to further expand our team, explore new technologies to improve efficiency, and continue to offer a range of appointment options to enhance access and patient choice.

From all of us at the surgery, we wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy New Year.
