Recycle Your Used Sanofi Insulin Pens with Sanofi’s RePen Recycling Program!

Did you know that discarded insulin pens generate approximately 1.5 thousand tonnes of waste every year.

To help reduce this figure, Sanofi’s RePen program allows you to easily recycle your used disposable Sanofi insulin pens. Recycling your pens with RePen benefits both you and the environment. It’s a convenient way to dispose of your pens from home, with free collection envelopes and postage included.

Here’s how to participate:

  • Order a free RePen collection envelope online here: https://www.mysanofiinsulin.co.uk/repen/
  • Carefully remove and dispose of needles in your sharps bin (do not include them in the envelope).
  • Collect up to 12 empty Sanofi SoloStar® or DoubleStar™ insulin pens and place them in the envelope.
  • Seal the envelope and use the provided return label to mail it back to Sanofi for free.

 Key Points:

  • Empty your pens fully before saving them in the RePen collective envelope.
  • Ensure to return a maximum of 12 empty pens in one RePen collection envelope.
  • Include the plastic cap, this can be recycled too!
  • Before posting back the full RePen collection envelope, ensure you have affixed the return label.
  • Order a new RePen collection envelope once your current one has been returned.

Don’t include the needle or anything else other than your Sanofi disposable insulin pen.

Currently Only Sanofi SoloStar® and DoubleStar™ insulin pens (without needles) are currently accepted.

Unsure if your pen is eligible? Check the label for the Sanofi brand or compare it to the pictures on the website from the link below. For a complete list of accepted pens and answers to frequently asked questions, visit the dedicated website below.

We will be sending those Patients with these pens a link to inform them of this service as well. This is part of our commitment as a surgery to be doing as much as possible to lessen the impact we have on the environment.

Together, we can make a difference!
