Reception Team & General Practice Assistants
Our frontline champions! They are your first point of contact, managing appointments and guiding you through administrative processes. Their extensive training ensures they can direct you to the right team member quickly and efficiently, providing a seamless experience.
Mental Health Practitioners (MHP)
Specialists in mental health, our in house MHP offers support, counselling, and coping strategies, addressing emotional well-being as an integral part of your overall health. They assess, advise, and support access to further mental health services and community resources.
Enhanced Recovery Workers (ERW)
Working closely with Mental Health Practitioners, our two in house ERWs can support with bereavement, anxiety, and other mental health concerns, enhancing resilience and connecting you to additional wellbeing support.
First Contact Physiotherapists
Experts in musculoskeletal health, our Physiotherapist can assess, diagnose, and provide tailored exercises and advice for joint and muscle concerns, promoting physical wellness without the need for a GP referral.
Social Prescribers
Addressing the social factors of health, our social prescriber connects you with community resources and support networks, helping with issues like housing and benefits to enhance your holistic well-being. As well as being our Veteran Champion and Domestic Abuse lead.
Physician Associate (PA)
Highly skilled in physical examinations and interpreting tests, our PA works closely with GPs to extend primary care services, ensuring timely medical expertise and comprehensive care.
Clinical Pharmacists
We have two pharmacists at School Lane (not to be confused with School Lane Pharmacy). Medication experts, they optimise medication management and ensure the safe and effective use of medicines through detailed reviews, handling complex medication queries and provide expert advice to staff.
Pharmacy Technicians
Working alongside Clinical Pharmacists, our team of Pharmacy Technicians review medications, provide advice, respond to queries and offer lifestyle and health guidance.
Care Coordinators
Bridging gaps in care, they ensure smooth transitions between healthcare settings, as well as working closely with the social prescriber, they enhance communication and collaboration for a holistic patient experience.
Phlebotomists
Specialists in drawing blood, our dedicated Phlebotomist plays a vital role in diagnostic testing with their expertise in accurate and efficient sample collection. They are also supported by HCAs.
Health Care Assistants (HCAs)
Supporting clinicians, our team of HCAs carry out essential tasks like health checks, ECGs, and some long-term condition reviews, significantly enhancing healthcare delivery efficiency.
Nurse Associates
Aspiring towards a full nursing degree, they work more independently than HCAs, contributing to a well-rounded patient care experience under the guidance of experienced nurses.
Practice Nurses
The heart of General Practice! Our team of Nurses handle a wide range of health needs, they focus on chronic disease management, vaccinations, and preventive care, significantly contributing to your overall health.
Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs)
With advanced training, our two ACPs can diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication, meeting a variety of healthcare needs with an extended scope of practice. They work independently and can see a very wide range of patients.
General Practitioner Registrars (GP Reg)
As a training practice, we host GP Registrars, qualified doctors specialising in general practice. They bring fresh perspectives and stay updated with the latest medical advancements, contributing to comprehensive care.
General Practitioners (GPs)
Our GPs diagnose and treat a wide range of health issues, providing continuity of care and coordinating with other team members to ensure you receive necessary medical attention.
