This weekend, the pharmacy located within the School Lane building will be installing a secure prescription collection locker at the front of the surgery.
Once the service is operational, pharmacy customers who use the locker service will be able to collect their prepared repeat medication 24 hours a day, seven days a week, rather than being limited to the pharmacy’s usual opening hours.
The locker should make collecting medication:
- More convenient for people who work or have other commitments
- Quicker, with no need to queue at the pharmacy counter
- More flexible, allowing collection at a time that suits you
- Secure, with access details provided by the pharmacy when your medication is ready
The pharmacy will provide further information about how to register for and use the service, including which prescriptions and medicines are suitable for locker collection. There will be no change in how you request repeat medication and the locker should be live from 13th August.
Please note that this is a pharmacy service, not a service provided or managed by School Lane Surgery. The surgery will not have access to or control over the locker. Any questions, access problems or other issues involving the locker must therefore be discussed directly with the pharmacy.
