Our Saturday clinics may have finished, but there’s still time for your flu jab

If you missed our dedicated Saturday clinics, you haven’t missed your chance to get vaccinated. We are still offering flu vaccinations at School Lane Surgery to eligible patients.

Why getting vaccinated still matters

Flu can leave you feeling very unwell and can cause serious complications, particularly if you are older, pregnant or have certain long-term health conditions. Even if you usually feel fit and well, vaccination remains important if you are eligible.

The flu vaccine helps protect against the strains expected to circulate this season. It cannot prevent every case, but if you do catch flu after vaccination, it is likely to be milder and not last as long.

Don’t wait for flu to catch up with you

Protection takes up to two weeks to develop, so booking now gives your body time to build its defences. You need a flu vaccine each year because protection fades and the viruses circulating can change.

Book your vaccination

If you haven’t had your flu vaccine this season, please contact our reception team on 01842 753115 to arrange an appointment.

Unsure whether you are eligible or have a question about vaccination? Our team will be happy to help.
