A New Voice at School Lane Surgery. Our New AI Receptionist.

Onassis….Collins….Chan…. all famous Jackies. Now there is our new one to add to this list, our new AI receptionist.

We are excited to introduce Jackie, our brand new digital receptionist, launching on Tuesday 3rd  March.

Jackie has been created to make getting in touch with us quicker, easier and more convenient. Over the past few weeks, she has successfully supported patients with sick note requests (aka fit notes, aka MED3’s), and we are now expanding her role to help with an even wider range of enquiries.

When you call the surgery, Jackie will help guide you through your request, gather the right information and ensure it reaches the appropriate member of our team. This helps us respond more efficiently and keeps things moving smoothly. Most importantly, every detail is carefully reviewed before any action is taken.

Jackie is not a doctor or a nurse  and does not offer medical advice, diagnoses or clinical decisions. If at any point you would rather speak with a member of our reception team, simply let Jackie know and your call will be transferred.

We will roll this out slowly to start so we are limiting the number of calls Jackie takes to ensure it works as she should. Think of this like her probation period. This may mean that most callers will not speak to her to start with.
